For people serving a life sentence
This information booklet is for people serving a life sentence. It includes an explanation of how a life sentence works, including things like categorisation, risk assessment and interventions. It also includes information about the parole process and being released on a life licence.
For prisoners with a disability
This booklet contains information for people with a disability in prison. Please note this booklet was last updated in 2017 and some references may be out of date.
For people on licence for a sex offence
This booklet contains information for people convicted of a sex offence on release from prison. It may also be helpful to families, employers and people working with those convicted of a sex offence. Please note this booklet was last updated in 2022 and some references may be out of date.
Human Rights booklet for prisoners
PRT has produced a human rights booklet for prisoners which explains your rights as a prisoner under the Human Rights Act. The booklet also provides information about cases which are important in a prison context, information about prison rules and guidance and information about where you can go for help and advice if you feel that you have not been able to access your rights.
